PRINCIPLES
Our ambition is to reduce supply chain risk, ensure sustainable supply of goods and services at the right quality, quantity, time and place, capture economies of scale and ensure best possible terms and conditions for PGS. We shall:
- Maintain and further develop processes covering Sourcing, Purchasing and Logistics
- Ensure segregation of duties and avoid conflicts of interest
- Adhere to PGS’ requirements to ethics, anti-corruption, HSEQ, export control and sanctions throughout the Procurement and Contracting (P&C) processes
- Ensure that all P&C processes comply with the PGS requirements regarding tendering, purchase orders, authorization levels, exemptions and terms and conditions
- Work to avoid adverse impact to people, society and the environment in our supply chain
- Conduct procurement activities in a sustainable and responsible manner
- Work to use suppliers who accept to abide by PGS’ Supplier Code of Conduct
SOURCING
Our ambition is to ensure effective and sustainable sourcing processes in PGS. This includes both selection and maintenance of a qualified supplier base supporting our overall supply chain needs. We shall:
- Develop best practice sourcing strategies
- Support PGS with competitive supplier agreements and qualified suppliers
- Monitor and control our critical suppliers by risk rating, audits and established Supplier Relationship Management processes
- Review and approve all new suppliers
- Ensure that any exceptions from the competitive tendering principle is approved
PURCHASING
Our ambition is to ensure that all purchasing processes are followed to effectively and sustainably procure goods and services within PGS. We shall:
- Perform purchasing in a timely manner based on the internal customer needs
- Obtain best prices and delivery terms from qualified suppliers in our supplier base
- Ensure that agreed terms and conditions for purchasing are followed
- Efficiently prepare and follow-up purchase orders
LOGISTICS
Our ambition is to ensure that all goods and logistics services serve PGS operations in a seamless and sustainable manner and contribute to securing our vessel uptime. We shall:
- Ensure transparency throughout the supply chain
- Make sure that all shipments are adequately handled according to schedule and cost
- Ensure that suppliers are following agreed delivery terms
- Maintain adequate insurance coverage for all goods during transport
